Where is The Dubai Balloon located?
The Dubai Balloon is situated on the beachfront of Atlantis, The Palm, a major landmark on the Palm Jumeirah.If you're staying at Atlantis, The Palm, or spending the day at Aquaventure, you can easily reach The Dubai Balloon through The Avenues. For external visitors arriving by taxi, drop-off is at The Avenues, where a staff member will guide you to the ticketing office.If you're driving, park at Aquaventure Waterpark, and hop on the shuttle bus to the ticketing office. You can also take the monorail for a scenic ride straight to The Dubai Balloon!
Are we flying?
The Dubai Balloon can soar up to 225 meters, making weather conditions a key factor in our operations. To ensure your safety and comfort, our expert pilots monitor real-time weather updates and adjust flight operations accordingly.
If wind speeds exceed 25 knots or there’s a risk of thunderstorms, flights will be paused or canceled—even if skies appear clear.
To help you plan, we provide a live weather tracker with forecasts up to three days in advance. However, since weather can change quickly, we recommend checking the tracker again right before your visit to avoid any unexpected cancellations or delays.
What To Expect For My Experience?
While the balloon flight itself lasts approximately 10 minutes, please allow extra time for a mandatory safety briefing, as well as boarding and disembarkation procedures. Depending on the number of guests ahead of you, the total experience may take slightly longer than the flight duration alone.
What should I wear?
Dubai is known for its sunshine all year round, but temperatures can vary by season—so dressing appropriately will make your experience even more enjoyable.
October to April (Winter Season):
Expect mild and pleasant weather, especially in the evenings. November to January are the coolest months, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater, particularly for sunset or night flights, when it can get cooler at altitude.
Casual, comfortable attire such as t-shirts, shorts, or dresses is ideal.
May to September (Summer Season):
Dubai’s summer is hot and sunny, so opt for light, breathable clothing to stay cool. If you’re coming directly from Aquaventure Waterpark, you’re welcome to board the balloon in swimwear, as long as it complies with park guidelines.
Additional Notes:
Large bags are not permitted on board. Small backpacks, purses, or crossbody bags are fine.
For your safety and comfort, avoid wearing high heels—flats or sneakers are recommended.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
The Dubai Balloon is fully accessible for guests using wheelchairs and baby strollers.
If you require assistance, simply inform a Ground Crew member, and they’ll be happy to help with boarding and disembarking. For safety, please make sure your wheelchair or stroller has a functioning brake or locking mechanism, which our team will check before takeoff.
If your personal wheelchair doesn’t fit inside the gondola, no problem—on-site wheelchairs available for use during your flight to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
Terms & Conditions
- When your booking is confirmed, you will receive your ticket via e-mail. To redeem, visit the ticketing office at the Avenues at Atlantis to receive your wristband which you can use to enter the attraction.
- Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older.
- For each adult holding a valid ticket, one infant (under the age of three years) get a complimentary ticket.
- Proof of age is required at the entrance when redeeming a ticket for a Child or Infant.
- Tickets are valid for six months from the original travel date selected.
- Should you not be able to use the ticket at all, for whatever reason, the ticket will not be eligible for a refund. However, we will give you the option to rebook for any other day within the following six months. This includes flight cancellations due to weather conditions or other causes outside of our control.
